Family Night...done right!

Last Monday we had a family night with some of my family's friends, the Browns. We went to their GORGEOUS home and had a BBQ. My brother Ryan and his BFF Bryce planned the whole thing. It was so much fun! We finished off the night with a little ping pong tourney.

While growing up, ping pong after FHE was a bit of a tradition. The Webbs have always been hardcore on the ping pong. That's why I still waste Nate every time we play. ;) Here are a couple action shots...(Nate was out of town and Claire slept was sleeping in the other room)

Top 7 Things I Loved About the Utah State Fair

We went to the Fair on Saturday with my cousins, Mitch and Nancy, and their two boys, Bryton and Mason. It was a blast! I always love the Fair. I think I've had an obsession going to it every year ever since I watched the musical "State Fair". For those of you who know that musical, I'm sure it brings to mind the song, "Our state fair is a great state fair. Don't miss it, don't even be late..." I was singing it all night to Nate!

Anyway, here's the top seven things we loved about the Fair this year!

7-) All the GIGANTIC fruits and veggies...
6-) Two words - Holy Cow...

5-) All the cute farm animals...
4-) The fact that you could "See the Giant Pig....Alive!" (versus the Giant Pig...dead??)
3-) The Tractor Pull...which by the way made me really mad. Apparently there is no tractor involved at all in the processs! They soup up these big trucks and try to pull a weighted sled. Dumb. Nate and Mitch kept trying to explain it to Nancy and me, but we were just disappointed...shouldn't a tractor pull involve tractors??

2-) The Giant Slide! (We even got to take Claire on it with us!)

See us at the top?

1-) Spending time with family!

End of summer BBQ

I hate to even say the words...end of summer. This summer has gone by quicker than any other summer on record. But I have to fac eup to the fact that it's over and it was a great and memorable summer. We celebrated by have a BBQ at my aunt's house. Here's some of the group:

Here's a cute one of Kimi and Amberly:

Poor Aunt Annette just had surgery, so she could only hold the babies with one arm. :(

I love that tongue...

and this girl!!!

Does it get any cuter?

Seriously. How did I possibly get a baby so unbelievably cute??

Claire was in a great mood yesterday, so we took some pictures. There were so many cute ones...it was hard to decide which ones to post!! The one on her belly is Nate's favorite.

She's been doing a lot of "talking" lately. She'll just babble and babble all the time. It usually sounds like "woooo, woooo, woooo" or "raaa, raaa, raaa". I'm loving it!

Learning to stand

We've been working on getting Claire's leg muscles nice and strong. She loves to stand on your lap and just look around. My favorite part about it is that I can get a good look at the rolls on her legs! This picture was taken right after we changed her diaper and she just loves to have her clothes off. She'll kick around and smile non-stop!
I just thought her face in this picture was hilarious. I could eat this girl up!

E'Shell's baby shower

We had E'Shell's baby shower last Saturday night and it was a blast! Thanks to everyone who came. She's due on September 27, so it really could be any day now. We're so excited to add another grandbaby to the family!

Here's Angie, Drew, Claire and me (I just love how Claire had to have her hand on Drew...too cute!)

The Taylors move to Utah!

We're so excited that our awesome friends, Aaron and Danielle, moved back to Utah from Texas. Nate and Aaron met their freshman year of college and have been best friends ever since. These two are the kind of people who you could always be around and the conversation just flows. We are so happy they are close!
As always, Claire is the center of attention... :)

Sierra Marie Plowman

When we were in St. George this weekend we got to meet our new cousin (or is it cousin once removed...I can never remember), Sierra Marie Plowman. Daughter of Cliff and Jessica Plowman. She is so beautiful! They actually blessed her on Sunday because Cliff's dad (Nate's uncle) is headed to Kuwait this Saturday and they wanted him to be there.

They asked me to take some photos for them while we were there, here's a little snippet:

Proud Grandpa and Grandma
Group shot...can you tell that Nate and Cliff are cousins??

Labor Day Getaway

We went down to St. George this past weekend for a little getaway. Don't ask me what we were thinking...going south?! The heat was unbearable! It hit 104 degrees on Saturday. Needless to say, when we were outside we pretty much had to be in the pool. That was ok, because Claire loved the water and we were grateful she did!
This picture was taken right outside our condo...

Here we are going for a swim, this was Claire's first real swim since the first time she wouldn't get in the water. But she was the opposite this time...she kicked her little legs around like crazy as soon as they were under water. It was hilarious and so fun.

Then we went over to the playground and went down the slide. We also tried to make her hang on the bars...didn't really work. ;) At least we got her to grab them!

Then Nate and I really wanted to play racquetball. We used to play in college all the time and got really competitive. I am definitely the undefeated champion.
We couldn't leave Claire anywhere, so we ended up making her face the corner and tried to get her to go to sleep. Obviously we'd forgotten how loud the ball is when it hits the wall and there was no way she was going to sleep! So we got about 10 minutes of play time in and then had to leave. :( Traveling with an infant is definitely a different experience!
