Fall Family Photos

Another edition of "set the timer up and run around!" I'm actually very happy with how some of these turned out. I love these three.

Green beans

Luke's first time eating green beans.

His reaction was priceless.

Not a huge fan.

How can you not love Gardner Village?

It's a family tradition to go to Gardner Village every fall and look at the witches. How can you not love it?

Claire liked sitting on the hay, but kept calling it "scratchy".

Luke being his usual happy self.

"How old are you?"

I love these two. Claire is always asking to hold him.

She actually requested a picture of "just the beautiful girls."

Then she asked to have one of "just the handsome boys."

Once Claire was SURE that the witch wasn't real, she would sit by it.

Nate actually set up and took this shot! I may finally be rubbing off on him! :)

Claire showing the witches her dance moves (which actually resemble karate moves a lot closer).

Self-time shot of the night!

The Drewbie

We were so depressed when my sister announced to us that they were moving to Houston Texas. Claire and Drew have been best buddies since they were born. One of the nights before they left, Drew had a sleepover at our house.

I even got out the self-timer for the event.

Eating breakfast...this is what I get when I ask them to smile.

On their way to preschool. They held hands the whole way.

The decided to dance for some reason.

After school, playing in the rock pile they have to play in every day.

We'll miss you buddy! So glad you visit a lot!

Luke is 5 months!

I can't believe Luke is 5 months.

At 5 months:

*is the happiest babe on the planet.
*eye contact and he smiles at you.
*rolls all over the place.
*eats rice cereal like a champ.
*almost stting up.
*babbles all day long - usually da da, da da, da da. Still waiting for the appearance of mama.
*laughs more easily at his sister than anyone.

We love you Luke!

26.2

On October 2, 2010 Nate accomplished a feat few people have accomplished. A feat that I truly have no desire to accomplish. :) He ran the St George Marathon. I cannot express to you how proud I was of him. I was bawling all weekend. He had a knee injury 2 months before the race and therefore, was only able to train for 5 weeks. He did one, yes one, long run (20 miles) in preparation. And he seriously rocked it. I was so proud.

He ran with some friends and we made a full weekend getaway out of it. The Luke-ster got to accompany us too, and thanks to my sister and mom for watching Claire.

Here he is getting his race packet...

We got to see him once during the race and then again at the finish line. Here is Luke waiting to see his daddy.

And here are the ladies, supporting our men! My shirt says, "My husband runs faster than your husband." :)

Nate at Mile 16. He stopped for about 30 seconds and talked to us and when I asked him how he was feeling he said, "Good." Good? Good?! You've just run 16 miles and have 10 more to go! I'd be asking for a ride home! :)

Right before the finish line...still smiling...

And there he is crossing the finish line. So. Dang. Proud.

Luke's onesie said "Daddy's Future Running Buddy".

Here's a shot of all the men after the race.

All of us together. What an unforgettable experience!

Way to go babe! We love ya!

Now we just need to talk him into doing it again next year... ;)
