Ski Utah

Nate and I hit up the slopes again, this time at Deer Valley. The day was incredible! The weather was perfect, the powder was fresh, and I got the WHOLE DAY alone with my hubby! What more could you ask for? Look how blue the sky was...

We left with only one minor injury (when I slipped on some ice - how embarrassing!), so overall the day was a complete success.

We left Claire at home with Nate's sister and her roommate...thanks again Mehren and Kim! Claire had so much fun with you guys!

I hadn't been to Deer Valley since I was in high school and I have fond memories of that ski trip....without going into too much detail, my two friends and I found a run that was WAY out of our skiing abilities, but had no other option to get down. We ended up taking off our skis, throwing them down the hill, and sliding on our butts all the way down. We laughed so hard that we, ummm, (I hate to admit this)...peed our pants. Thanks to Katie and Shea for the "warm" memories!! :P

More pictures of Claire...why not?

With all this freezing cold weather, Claire and I have been a little cooped up. Not fun. Well, Claire was looking extra cute one day, so I whipped out my camera and snapped away!
I love the next two pics, because in the first one she's totally posing for the camera and the second one she got so excited that drool starting flowing down her chin. Yeah, that's only cute when you're a baby.

Claire is crawling!

My little girl is growing up! Since she was 5 months old, Claire's mode of transportation has been rolling. She would roll all over the house and she actually got pretty fast at it. She'd see something she wanted and would roll 4-5 times in a row to get there. I started to think that she would skip crawling all together and go from rolling to walking.
Well as of last Sunday, Claire's rolling days are over!

(Don't forget to turn off the music player ---->)

Cheap entertaiment

The other day I had Claire sitting on the floor while I was getting ready and she found this Huggies box. I put her inside to see what she'd do and she LOVED it.

But then the box fell over...at first she was confused about what happened...

Then she realized and she wasn't so happy about it...

Then I tipped it back up, and life was good again.

This box was worth a good 20 minutes of entertainment. Who knew?

Random pictures

Here are just some random pictures I've taken over the last week...

Claire has pretty much taught herself to pull to a standing position! (Sometimes she still needs a little help!) She loves to pull up on anything, especially her Exersaucer and her parents!

These are just some cute shots I took one day. The lighting was kind of off and it almost looks like she has red hair in this pic - maybe she'll take after her Aunt Mehren!

I loved this picture because she was laughing out loud when I took it...

I watched my sweet little nephew Corgan the other day and he loved sitting in the Bumbo! Isn't he adorable?

This is a beanie I got for Claire at Elsa Belle and it finally fits her! Yah!

Finally, Uncle Ryan came over and babysat Claire for a little bit and she had so much fun with him! Thanks Ry!

2,222 Days

This past weekend I figured out that Nate and I have been together for 2,222 days! (We started dating in December 2001.) So I made him a surprise dinner (I made homemade rolls and everything) to celebrate our "anniversary"!

I love you babe! I can't image a better 2,222 days. And I can't wait for
222,222,222,222,222 more days together!

Winter Photo Shoot

Just before Christmas, we went outside and took some family pics. We were driving around, found this little park and just pulled over. Claire was in her usual great mood, so we took advantage!

I love this one of Nate and Claire...

This was the last good picture we got...I think every one after it was of Claire crying...it gets cold SO fast when the sun goes down! But it was fun to get some pictures of all three of us (thanks again Bman!) since one of us is usually behind the camera!

Our Christmas Road Trip

*WARNING: HUGE POST!
The Plowman Christmas this year was awesome! Nate, Claire and I road tripped it to Lincoln City, Oregon where Nate's family had rented a beach house. The house was amazing and so was the company! On the drive there we found this HUGE waterfall called Multnomah Falls. It was gorgeous and a great reason to get out and stretch our legs. Claire was in the best mood (I'm pretty sure she was just trying to be cute so that we wouldn't put her back in her car seat.)

We had so much fun all week just hanging out and playing games every night. Nate's family is the best! One of the days we went down to the beach for a little photo shoot. It was freezing, but SO beautiful. The waves were gigantic! Here are all the kids:

The sunset was gorgeous...

Claire LOVES her daddy. He can get her to laugh and smile better than any one can.

I can officially say that this Christmas was my best ever. Everything is so much more meaningful when you have a baby. Even though she had no clue that Christmas day was any different that any other day, it was fun just watching her take it all in. She especially loved the bows on the package. Here's Nate giving her a present - she was really pretty good at opening presents if we started them for her.
Her first piano from Grandma Plowman...
Here was the huge MESS we made!

Christmas morning family pic
Here are the grandkids with their matching pajamas, thanks to Grandma Plowman! Claire LOVED being able to meet her new cousins!
Then we all left Lincoln City (*sigh*) and road-tripped again up to Seattle. Here, Claire got to meet her Great Grandpa Clarke.

Nate's mom had a little chair that you could attach to the countertop. It was Claire's new favorite seat...she liked it WAY more than her high chair at home!

One of the awesome presents I got for Christmas from Santa was "Karaoke Revolution". And yes, you can use it with my other favorite game "Dance Dance Revolution". You sing AND dance! It was awesome, but hard! Here's Nate's mom giving it a try:

On our final night in Washington, we went to the Cheesecake Factory (YUM!). The food is SO good there! Nate and I shared the Chocolate Oreo Mudslide Cheesecake and wow, that was one rich cheesecake.
Then in downtown Bellevue on "Snowflake Lane", they have a little drummer show where there are drummers everywhere, music, and they pump out fake snow. It was so cute! If only it weren't so freezing!
So that was our Christmas 2007! It was a great holiday and I'm so sad it's over!!
