Elder Webb is home!

Yeah! My brother Ryan got home today from his mission in Uruguay. We missed him so much! It's been hard having him gone for two years, but we're so proud of what he accomplished. Now he is finally able to meet Claire and cousin Drew!

It was also fun to see the shock on Ryan's face when he found out my sister-in-law, E'Shell, is six months pregnant and due in September! They hadn't told him because they wanted it to be a surprise. It was hard for all of us to keep it in!

It's so fun to have him home!!!

Mommy's Glasses

"Mom, what's on my head?"

We were waking up Saturday morning and I decided to see how my glasses looked on Claire. I hope they don't look this big on my head. :)

Bath time

My sweet Claire loves bath time! I'm so glad because the first bath was a pretty tramatic experience. Nate and I had no clue what we were doing and the poor girl was probably freezing cold. Now, I just keep a few washcloths on her and she keeps warm. She could be having a little fit and the second I put her in the bath, she gets completely calm. She'll just stare at me with her little double chin...like the picture below. Her favorite part is when I wash her hair and pour the water over her head.

The part she always hated about the bath was getting out. I can't blame her, I hate that too! So I took the space heater in her room and I'll point it on her while I get her dressed and put her lotion on. This has made both our lives easier. We also love hooded towels!

Smiles!

I finally caught Claire's smiles on camera! It's so fun to have her reacting to us. She smiles quite a bit now, especially right after she eats. She's so much fun! I love this girl!

Baby Bjorn

Claire loves her Baby Bjorn! I put her in it and I can get all kinds of things done around the house. This is one of the best purchases I've made! She'll even fall asleep in it. This was us last weekend when we were watering plants and flowers outside.

Happy Father's Day

I definately have the best husband in the world. Sorry. There's no disputing it. He's wonderful. He totally puts up with all my picture-taking. Yesterday I made him take some pics with Claire for Father's Day. They turned out so cute!
The two loves of my life!
This is the new way that Claire loves her Daddy to hold her...

I also couldn't mention Father's Day without saying what a great dad I have. He's always been the kind of dad you could talk to about anything. I remember having some late nights talking with my dad. He always seemed to understand, even if he didn't agree! Best dad ever! I love you Dad!

Grandma's 75th Birthday

My beautiful Grandma...

We had a surprise party on Friday for my Grandma's Stevens' 75th birthday! It was up in Logan at Lundstrom Park. It was fun to see all my aunts, uncles, & cousins and have everyone meet Claire.

My grandma is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. She always wants to know everything going on in your life and has a great memory. I could tell her something and months later she'd still remember to ask me about it. She's also very talkative! My grandma could out-talk pretty much anyone I've met. She's the best. She's also Claire's namesake. My grandma's name is Linda and that is the Lin part in Claire's middle name, Katelin. We love Grandma Stevens!
Here's a four generation pic.

Activity Gym!

Claire absolutely loves her activity gym! The mushroom-looking toy has a mirror on it and she loves to look at her reflection. She's really starting to figure out that she has hands and arms. Yesterday she sat under it for about 20 minutes and she'd hit a toy and watch it swing for a while and then hit it again. It was so fun to watch her figure it out!

It makes her so happy (although not her best angle!). And of course...makes her stick her tongue out...

Happy girl!

Claire marks five weeks on June 6! Here are her stats now:

Weight: 8.5 pounds
Height: 22 inches
Hair: Dark brown
Eyes: Dark blue (we think)

Two days ago, she started smiling back when I smile at her! It's been so fun! She doesn't do it every time...she has to be in a great mood. But there is nothing better in the world then when she smiles back at me! (Poor Nate is still waiting to get a smile out of her! :( ) She is also giggling in her sleep and it is SO cute.

Of course, she still loves to stick out her tongue. When she's awake, she does it almost constantly!

Claire is really good at focusing with her eyes and she'll follow our faces back and forth. She absolutely loves the mobile in her crib. She'll choose one of the hanging butterflies and will follow it around and around. She also goes cross-eyed a lot...hence the picture... :)

She is also starting to talk more. She coos, gurgles, and grunts all the time. It's so fun to listen to her. She also loves it when mom and dad sing to her. When she is having a hard time going to sleep, I'll sing her the song from Mary Poppins "Stay Awake" and it almost always does the trick.
It's getting more and more fun being a mom. Having Claire react to us makes me so happy! She's such an angel!

Drew's Blessing

My nephew, Andrew, was blessed on Sunday. Here's a family shot of Mike, Angie, and Drew...

Drew is really starting to react when you talk to him now. He's three months old. He smiles all the time and he even giggles sometimes! It's so cute!! Here's a funny pic when he was sucking a little too hard on his pacifier. :)

We've had three new babies in our family since March. Claire, Drew, and Mason...
