Family Ski Day

My family went up to The Canyons yesterday for a family ski day and it was a B-L-A-S-T! Even though the snow was pretty awful and we were dodging rocks on some of the runs, it was so fun to be with everyone. Here we are on the Cabriolet that takes you from the parking lot to the resort.

My sister, Angie, and my mom
Nate and my brother, Brandon (who loves to make extremely attractive faces...)
Then here we are in the Gondola that takes you from the lift ticket line up to the mountain...

Here's me with my mom, my brothers and sister...

It was the first time in quite a few years that all my siblings and my parents have gone skiing all together. We HAD to document. So here's the seven of us(poor Nate got stuck taking the picture again)!

My family ROCKS!

Parties, parties and more parties

Wow! This Christmas season has already gone by way too fast! We had such a great week last week filled with a lot of partying! On Tuesday we had our Relief Society dinner and it was a lot of fun (although I had to sing which was not a lot of fun:)). On Wednesday I had my monthly Girls Night Out. Thanks again to Liz for hosting - it was a blast seeing everyone! Here's a pic of all the gals:Then on Friday night we had the Annual Webb Family Christmas Party. Can I just say that I love my family? They are awesome! We always have a great time together. Our family is getting so big that we had to have it at my parent's church! Here's E'Shell, Uncle John and Aunt Kris holding Claire, Drew and Corgan:
We did our usual $5 cousin gift exchange and as always, it was a blast! My cousin Jeff ended up with a very fitting gift - a box full of women's lotions and shower gels. :)

We also had an Ugly Christmas Sock Contest...

The winners were Nancy, my dad (whose socks glowed in the dark), Ryan (whose Flirt socks deserved a close-up shot) and Jeff (who wore actual stockings all night long)!

What a fun night!

And finally, on Saturday night we had the Ward Christmas Party. I ended up being the photographer that night and took pictures of all the families. Everyone did a great job putting it together, I can't believe how much work it must have been. I love our ward!
I heart Christmas time!!

Just waking up

I got some cute video of Claire in the morning, just after she woke up. I walked into her room and she was sitting up in her crib! She had somehow pulled herself up and was batting at the flowers on her mobile (she loves that mobile!). I guess it's time to lower the crib mattress! We made this video for Nate, but I thought I'd share it with everyone too...

(Don't forget to push pause on the music player on the left -->)

This other video is Claire's new favorite past time - saying "Baa baa baa" over and over. It seems like for the last week anytime she's awake she's saying "baa baa baa". I've been trying (and failing) to get her to say "Ma ma ma" instead. :)

HUGE drum roll please!!!

(If you haven't read the Twilight books, this post will mean nothing to you...)

It was announced today on the Stephenie Meyer website that actor Robert Pattinson will play Edward in Twilight the movie!!!!

I'm not sure how I feel about this yet...this wasn't how I pictured my Edward. Ladies - what do you think???

For those of you who haven't heard, he'll play opposite Kristen Stewart as Bella:

I can't wait for this movie to come out! Supposedly the release date is December 12, 2008...I can't wait a whole year!

Ugly sweaters and more

Can I just tell you that I love the people I work with? They are all so much fun. I feel SO lucky that I get to work with such awesome people. Last week we had an ugly sweater contest and here are a few of the pics I got...
My awesome sweater vest (the poinsettias were added the night before), and please don't be blinded by the glow from Kimi's built-in LED Christmas lights...

Nancy got the Most Crafty award with her homemade version and here's my boss Jason with his Mom Vest.

Bryson won the whole competition with his 3D stockings and much too tight sweater!

And finally, here are a few of the girls at our Christmas Party at Log Haven. I love these girls!

Outside the snow is falling and friends are calling...

Woo Hoo!
Ok, I know the song really says You Hoo, but Woo Hoo is what I said when I looked outside on Saturday morning and we had 4 inches of snow and it was still coming down! Woo Hoo! I love the snow! Snow means Christmas, skiing, hot chocolate, snuggling by the fire, and pretty much the best time of year!
We got to take Claire outside to see her first snow! To my dismay, she really didn't think much of it. She looked around and then was over it. We tried to make her sit up in the snow, but because her little snow outfit is so bulky, we couldn't get her to sit up. So here's Nate packing the snow in behind her...:)

"Mom, what is Dad doing to me?"

The above picture is where she tricked us and started to smile. She made us think she was beginning to like the snow, but not too soon after, we got this face...
So much for making snow angels. I'll guess we'll have to try again later. :)

Way overdue!

Sorry for my complete slacking on the posting front. Life is busy, what can I say? Here's a quick update on the comings and goings of the Plowmans...

We had a great Thanksgiving at my cousin Nancy's house (thanks again Nanc!). Since my whole family was there, we took a few family pics. I can't believe how many of us there are!

A cute one of my parents...

Nate, Claire and I

Claire with her Thanksgiving Day bib

We had a great dinner and then played games until the wee hours of the morning. Electronic Catch Phrase was the biggest hit and I got a few fun candid shots!

From the top: My cousin Jeff and his girlfriend Verona, then the Orgill family;
the next row is my dad and Aunt Annette, then my hot husband;
finally my darling cousin Megan and my cute brothers B and Ry

Then last weekend I have to give Nate props for getting our Christmas lights up. It took him almost five hours because of all the little clips and figuring out how to get electricity to every strand (note to self: on our next house, make sure to put an electrical outlet in the eaves!) But he did a great job! Thanks babe!

Finally, we brushed Claire's teeth for the first time last night. At first she seemed kind of into it and liked eating the toothpaste, but by the end she just wanted to play with the toothbrush herself. That's my busy girl.

Oh yes it's ladies night...

We had our monthly GNO at my house last night and it was SO fun! I love these girls. Aren't they a bunch of hotties? Its been so fun to reunite with them lately! They have always been such good influences on me...I'm grateful for each of them!

As promised ladies, here is the recipe for Chicken Taco Soup...
1 can corn
1 can black beans
1 can petite diced tomatoes
2 10 3/4 oz cans Cream of Potato soup
2 cups water
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 4 oz can chopped green chiles
3 chicken breast, cooked and shredded (or you can cheat like I do and use the Costco canned chicken!)
1 pkg taco seasoning
Add all ingredients into crock pot, including liquid from canned vegetables.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours. And sorry, I never got a picture of what the final product looks like! But you just top with sour cream, shredded cheese and Fritos. TOO EASY!

It's birthday time

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE!!

This is officially the last year that Nate can say he's in his twenties. Old man! I had to remind him all day about how old he's getting! :P We both had to work, so I tried to fill his day with little surprises. It turned out to be a fun birthday! We dropped Claire off at our neighbor's for the night (thanks Jamie!) and I took Nate to one of his favorite ghetto restaurants, China Gourmet. It's got a Mongolian BBQ that he loves.

He cleaned off every bit of his plate!
Look at the awesome fortune he got in his fortune cookie...

I am so grateful to have Nate in my life. He is the best husband and an awesome father. Happy birthday babe! We love you!

Wild animals and a lunch date!

The University Hospital had some of the land animals from Sea World/Busch Gardens come by for the patients and employees of the hospital. My friend's husband is a doctor there so she invited us to come along! I'm not sure how much of it Claire understood, but it was a perfect day and she loved being outside!

Here's our group with the reindeer...

Here's Claire and me with the baby camel...as you can see from her face I think she thought it was a little strange...
Then we went and met Nate for a hot lunch date at Mimi's. Such a fun day! It was hard to get Claire to look at the camera...she's so distracted by everything!

She loves to drink out of a straw, so our waitress got her her very own drink. Since this was a first...we had to document it with a picture!

This last one is just such a Claire face that I had to post it. She makes this face when she's frustrated about something. In this one she even has the hand simultaneously going. She's probably thinking right now, "I am sucking on this straw and nothing is coming. I'm not going to wait all day. Where is my water??!"

Finally, Claire and I did some shopping afterward and I'd feel like a bad friend if I didn't share my new favorite store with everyone. It's called Steve and Barry's and it's the first one in Utah. Sarah Jessica Parker just designed a clothing line for them and it's amazing and cheap! Check it out!
