Four Years

It's official...Nate and I have been married four years today! I can honestly say it's been the best four years of my life. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. He always thinks of me before himself. I'm still not sure why I'm so lucky, but I'm grateful for it.

This was something I made for him in honor of our 1,460 days together...

We celebrated by going to one of my favorite restaurants, Joe's Crab Shack.

Then we went to Usana Ampitheater and saw The Fray. They were awesome. I was already a big fan, but Nate had only heard them a few times. He ended up really liking them.

This was the best picture I could get with my ghetto camera. I had to leave my nice one at home because I didn't want to haul it all around.

IKEA and a drive-in...the perfect date night!

Sorry for the delay in posting, my entire family has been sick! It started with Nate on Tuesday and then passed to Claire and me. It's been a rough week.


But we had a fun weekend last weekend. We went to IKEA and the drive-in on Saturday. Nate wasn't so thrilled about the IKEA part, but he had a good attitude. And I think once we got in there he secretly liked it.

Then we went to the drive-in and saw Ratatouille and Pirates 3. Well, I actually never saw Pirates 3 because I couldn't keep my eyes open. I must really be getting old...but the movie started at midnight!

Claire had one of her big firsts on Friday! She rolled over! Nate was in her room changing her diaper and he yelled for me to come quick. I ran in there (camera in hand of course) and Claire was pushing herself up like this...

Then she slowly got her arm under herself like this...

Bees Game

I got some SL Bees tickets from my work, so we went to a game on Thursday night. It was a lot of fun! Claire seemed to like it too.

We went with my brother, Brad, and sister in law, E'Shell.

Brad was holding Claire and apparently he did something to really make her mad. Notice the finger...she did this completely on her own!

By the end of the night, Claire was exhausted. Luckily Aunt E'Shell got her to sleep!

Happy Father's Day to Nate

One handed

I can't believe how big Claire is getting! She was 11 weeks yesterday. Here is a pic of Nate balancing her on one hand. This is something my dad always did with us kids. I vividly remember my youngest brother balancing on my dad's hand when I was eight years old and thinking my dad was so strong. I was going to be really creative and find a picture of my dad doing this with me, but let's be honest, I'm never going to find the time to search for it.

On a side note, we took Claire to the drive-in last weekend and she loved it! We just kept passing her back and forth on our laps and she just looked all around. She did that for most of the movie. We've decided that's the way to take infants to movies. Then if they want to be loud you just roll up the windows and you're set!

My little brothers

I love my little brothers!

These are my two younger brothers. On the left is Brandon who is 17 and will be a senior at the big WX next year and on the right is Ryan who just got home from a mission to Uruguay...it's been so great having him home! These two are the best little brothers a girl could ask for. They both have the kindest hearts, even though they'd hate me to advertise that. They are also great uncles to Claire. I'm very jealous and missing them right now because they just left this morning for a 2-week vacay to Belgium and a Mediterranean cruise. Not fair!

More Blessing Day pics

I just realized I never posted the pics I took of Claire in her blessing dress. She was asleep most of the time I was taking them, which was kind of nice because I didn't have anyone helping me. She's so much fun to take pictures of. I swear all I have to do it point the camera at her and it's a great picture!

Thanks again to Nate's mom for getting us this adorable dress, socks and shoes! I absolutely love them!

Claire and Drew

Do you see any resemblance? This is my nephew Drew. Aren't they adorable together? I started back at work part time and my sister watches Claire while I'm at work. Then we do a swap at noon and I take Drew while she's at work. This was the first day of the swap and all things considered, it went pretty well. Every time Drew would start craying, Claire would be good and every time Claire would cry, Drew would be good. I couldn't get much done, but that's ok. I'm just glad it worked out to swap with my sister.
Here's a cute pic of them...Drew kept grabbing Claire's arm and inspecting it. She loved it!

By the end of taking about 50 pictures, they were both pretty mad at me!

Happy 4th!

Happy Birthday America!

This was a great 4th of July! Being Claire's first, of course we had to do it in style. Her Grandma Plowman bought her this darling dress...

and we went to two fireworks shows! We went to Eaglewood Golf Course in NSL on the 3rd and it was fun to celebrate with Nate's mom who was still in town. Then we went to Sugarhouse Park on the 4th with Aunt Annette and fam. We were a little worried how Claire would do with the loud noises and bright fireworks, but she did just fine. In fact, she slept through both shows!

Claire's Blessing

Sunday was a great and memorable day. Nate was able to bless Claire and it couldn't have been more perfect. She was really great all day, even with the heat. Here is a family pic before church...

We had a lot of family and friends come to support us and I was so grateful for it. Nate and I both have such great families. We didn't start taking pictures until the end, so we missed a lot of people, but here is the Plowman side...
